Learning goes beyond the classroom through student engagement in sports and adventure activities. An Annual Sports Meet provides ample opportunities for the students at the University to sharpen their talents. In the Sports Meet, the students show real sportsman spirit in basketball, volleyball, kho-kho, cricket, chess, badminton, athletics, tug-of-war & other sports.

An Annual Sports Meet provides ample opportunities for the students at the University to sharpen their talents. In the Sports Meet, the students show real sportsman spirit in basketball, volleyball, kho-kho, cricket, chess, badminton, athletics, tug-of-war & other sports. Students also take up adventurous treks in various mountainous ranges in the state.
As per Clause 3.5 of University rules, ordinances and policy for the students related to Co-Curricular & Extra Curricular Activities, under the office of Dean Student Affairs ( DSA), a sports & games committee “ Sportivo’ was formulated at the university to provide the students from various schools a platform at enhancing the interest of the participants in the field of sports and games and to achieve this, the committee will plan to organise various competitions at intra and inter-university level.

Objectives of Committee
The Sports & Games Committee is to promote every individual’s health, and physical well-being as well as:
  • The acquisition of physical skills among the students.
  • The committee aspires to inculcate qualities such as sportsmanship, team spirit and bonding.
  • It is designed to serve the interests of the student community in competitive sports and other recreational activities i.e., both indoor and outdoor

Annual Sports Meet - 2025

IMS Unison University’s flagship sports extravaganza, Sportathlon 2025, unfolded with high energy and enthusiasm at the RIMC Sports Facility. A dynamic march kicked off the event, followed by a thrilling lineup of track and field events including races, long jump, shot put, discus throw, and tug of war. The atmosphere was electric with cheers and unwavering team spirit.

The event showcased the pulse of team sports, with cricket, football, volleyball, and badminton matches capturing the attention of all. Intense matches and displays of strategy, coordination, and endurance defined the competition. From the raw strength of shot put to the finesse of badminton, each event was a vibrant display of skill and determination. As the sun set, Sportathlon 2025 stood as a resounding tribute to athletic excellence, camaraderie, and the indomitable spirit of the IMS Unison community.
